Stretching Learners Hub
Welcome to the Stretching Learners Resource Hub!
This page is designed to support your child’s in-class learning with resources that provide additional activities, projects, and information across all areas of the curriculum. By accessing these carefully selected links, you can help your child deepen their understanding of key concepts and apply their knowledge in different contexts at home. This additional practice not only reinforces essential skills but also allows children to explore topics with curiosity and independence.
To guide critical thinking, we’ve also included Deep Dive Questions for a variety of curriculum areas. These questions are tailored to each key stage and encourage children to reflect, make connections, and consider new perspectives on their learning. By working through these questions, children can build the analytical and problem-solving skills that are crucial for academic success and lifelong learning.
In addition to these resources, we have the below comprehensive guides to further support your child’s learning journey at home:

Dive Deeper Tasks: Exploring Topics with Curiosity and Critical Thinking
Our Dive Deeper Tasks are designed to help children engage more profoundly with their learning by sparking curiosity and critical thinking. These tasks provide questions and prompts that encourage students to go beyond the basics, delving deeper into a topic and uncovering new ideas, connections, and perspectives. They serve as excellent starting points for meaningful conversations, encouraging children to think critically and consider topics in broader and more complex ways. Parents and children can use these tasks together as a foundation for discussions or as launching points for independent research projects at home.
These tasks are inspired by Bloom’s Taxonomy, an educational framework that promotes deeper thinking through various stages, from remembering and understanding concepts to applying, analysing and evaluating them. By asking questions that move up through these stages, the Dive Deeper Tasks challenge students to think more analytically and creatively about what they’ve learned, promoting skills that are essential for deeper comprehension and curiosity-driven exploration.
Whether children are explaining ideas, comparing different viewpoints, or considering real-world applications of their learning, these questions help them develop a range of cognitive skills and a love for discovery that will serve them well in their academic journey and beyond.
