Art and Design
At Pelham, we value art and design as an important area of the curriculum, particularly in terms of helping to develop a child's aesthetic awareness.
During their time at Pelham, every effort is made to ensure each child fulfils their creative potential. To this end, each child is introduced to a wide variety of skills within a range of artistic disciplines include drawing, painting, sculpture and textiles. The children also study the life and works of great artists, architects and designers in history.
We are continually building links with our local artistic community and we try to embark upon a whole school art project once a year. These have included taking part in The Big Draw and holding our own exhibitions.
